IPR Reimbursement Scheme
The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Scheme, under the Goa Start-up Policy 2025, supports certified start-ups in Goa by reimbursing eligible costs incurred towards the successful registration of national and international Intellectual Property (IP). The scheme provides reimbursement of IP application-related fees, including government and associated costs, subject to the prescribed limits. Implemented by the Start-up Information Technology Promotion Cell (SITPC), the scheme aims to encourage innovation and protect intellectual property created by start-ups.
Benefits

100% reimbursement of eligible fees for successful registration of national and international IP.

Reimbursement up to ₹2 lakh for national IP and ₹5 lakh for international IP.

Benefit available to a maximum of 200 start-ups per year.

Benefits are subject to approval by SITPC and are not an entitlement.
Eligibility

Applicant must be a SITPC-certified start-up with a valid start-up certificate.

IP must be for a technology-based product/service or enhance an existing product/service using technology.

Mandatory government and attorney fees must be paid.

Reimbursement can be claimed only once for the same IP application.

No reimbursement should have been claimed for the same IP under any Central or State Government scheme.

Directors' bank accounts must be Aadhaar-linked.

Only digitally paid eligible expenditure incurred within the policy validity will be considered. Non-digital payments may be considered as per SITPC guidelines.
Required Documentation
Copy of successful IP registration
Original proof of payment with a detailed statement of IP-related expenses
Registration copy with invoices and receipts from the competent authority and legal counsel, as applicable
Detailed report
Address proof of the operational office in Goa
Cancelled cheque of the start-up/incubator/accelerator

Click on the Apply button.
You will be automatically redirected to the Goa Online Portal to submit your application.
Log in to the UDP Goa website.
